TMPOT stands for The Missing Piece OT. We were created to fill the gap in occupational therapy exam prep—offering modern, simplified, and affordable study tools that actually teach you how to pass, not just what to study.
TMPOT was founded by Kim Shardia, an OT who knows what it’s like
to fail the NBCOT exam. After missing the passing score by 20
points, she made it her mission to ensure other students never
feel that same defeat. She pioneered a group tutoring approach
that focuses not only on content, but strategy—how to break down
questions and think like the test.
We believe real strategy is the missing piece. While most
resources focus on cramming content, TMPOT teaches you how to
actually apply it—how to think through tough questions under
pressure. Plus, our founder has walked in your shoes. She
failed, then figured out how to pass—and now she’s helping
thousands do the same.
We truly wish we could guarantee that every student passes. But because we can’t control how you use our resources or what happens on exam day, we don’t offer a pass guarantee. However,
if you don’t pass, we offer discounted extensions and services
to help you come back even stronger.
